Sargun Mehta refused to meet Shah Rukh Khan until they collaborate; superstar recorded a video for her: ‘Madness of my manifestation’

Punjabi actor Sargun Mehta had not one but two opportunities to meet Shah Rukh Khan, yet she chose to decline due to her aspiration of working with the actor.

Millions of fans dream of meeting Shah Rukh Khan, and this includes many from the showbiz industry. Punjabi actor Sargun Mehta had not one but two opportunities to meet the King Khan himself, yet she chose to decline. Why, you may ask? It’s because Sargun harbours a big dream of sharing the screen with Shah Rukh, and she has vowed not to meet him until that dream is fulfilled.

Sargun mentioned how her husband and TV actor Ravi Dubey had the chance to shoot with SRK, but she didn’t take up the opportunity to meet the actor. Explaining her decision, she told Connect FM Canada, “I got the opportunity to meet Shah Rukh Khan many times. Shah Rukh sir has shot with my husband Ravi Dubey two-three times on a show. Ravi declared at home one day, ‘Tomorrow Shah Rukh Khan is coming to my set,’ but I didn’t go. When his film Dilwale was about to release, he came on the set of Ravi’s show Jamai Raja for the second time. I didn’t go even then.”

Sargun revealed that although she didn’t meet SRK, the superstar recorded a video for her, promising a future collaboration. “Ravi told Shah Rukh sir, ‘My wife loves you but she won’t meet you till the time you work with her.’ I have a video that Ravi recorded in which Shah Rukh sir said, ‘I will work with you very soon and wishing and hoping that this comes true for you.’ I have that video and whenever I will work with him, I will announce that project with this video. This is the madness of my manifestation. There are some dreams that you only like when they get completed,” she said.

Sargun further explained her fascination with Shah Rukh Khan. She revealed how she got into acting by watching Shah Rukh Khan. She fell in love with SRK’s characters, and it was through his acting on screen that she learned the craft. She also declared that she would fight with her classmates in college if they said anything bad about SRK. “I wouldn’t talk to people for months and years if they said something bad about Shah Rukh. I didn’t accept that anybody could dislike Shah Rukh Khan. I didn’t even give them the right to hate him,” she said.
