Sam Bahadur box office collection day 2: Helmed by Meghana Gulzar, the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 15.50 crore.

On its opening day at the box office, the Meghana Gulzar directorial faced intense competition from Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, which released on the same day. However, after earning Rs 6.25 crore on the first day, the film recorded an uptick on the second day.
On Saturday, Sam Bahadur collected Rs 9.25 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. After an almost 50 percent jump on the second day, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 15.50 crore. The Hindi occupancy of the film was recorded at 46 percent. Looking at the region-wise occupancy, Pune recorded the highest occupancy (75%), followed by Chennai with 54 percent.
In the film, Vicky Kaushal plays India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, which also stars Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has minted over Rs 100 crore in just two days, starting with Rs 63.8 crore on the opening day. The film has amassed an impressive Rs 66 crore on the second day. Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles.
Vicky’s portrayal as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw has garnered much praise from the audience and critics. Vicky had opened up about the big clash with Ranbir’s Animal during Express Adda. The actor said, “When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won’t say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other, they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema. While one player might hit fours and sixes, the other player will be at the crease, taking ones and twos and maintaining the strike.”
