Flight operations at the Delhi airport have been delayed due to a “technical issue with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system”, the Indira Gandhi International Airport authorities said on Friday morning. It is still not known by when the issue is expected to be resolved. A glitch in the ATC servers is likely to have caused the delays.
Their team is actively working with all stakeholders, including Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to resolve the issue. The authorities advised passengers to stay in touch with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates. “We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused,” the airport said.
Following the airport’s statement, carriers IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Air India issued their own advisories, urging passengers to expect longer wait times.
“Please be assured that our crew and ground teams are actively assisting and doing their best to make your wait as smooth as possible. For the latest updates on your flight, we encourage you to check our website,” IndiGo said.
“Our cabin crew and on-ground staff at the airport are extending immediate assistance to reduce passenger inconvenience,” Air India said.

Earlier on November 5, flight operations of a few airlines were hit at the Delhi airport due to a “technical glitch”. The glitch caused disruptions for nearly half an hour.
