Salman Khan would hit the gym, ride bicycle despite suffering from rib injury, recalls Sikandar co-star Vikaas Verma

Actor Vikaas Verma reveals that apart from filming Sikandar, Salman Khan rode his cycle and hit the gym while suffering from rib injury.

Salman Khan, in an earlier interaction, had revealed that he continued shooting for Sikandar despite suffering from a rib injury. Now, his Sikandar co-star Vikaas Verma has shed more light on the actor’s dedication, revealing that apart from filming, Salman also rode his cycle and hit the gym while dealing with the injury.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Vikaas said, “I had noticed this early on – he had a rib injury. I had seen him do it every time, adjusting himself on set like that, and it would make me feel the pain, too, thinking that he must be in pain somewhere. He had this issue with his shoulder as well. So in front of us, his shoulder massage would be constantly going on, or he would be doing it here. Sajan had advised him to keep doing that. So, his physiotherapy was always ongoing.”

Vikaas Verma went on to talk further about Salman Khan’s commitment to fitness and revealed that the actor would even work out in the gym following his injury. He said, “Despite that, he would still come to the set and work out at the gym or ride a cycle for an hour in the rough field. He would cycle to the set, cycle back, work out at the gym, and then stand the whole day. I don’t want to mention his age because he doesn’t seem that old to me.”

The actor added, “I genuinely feel he’s only 5-10 years older than me. The energy he has, I can’t even jump and get up on one foot like he does. I can’t do that. He can still do it. So, I believe he’s much younger than me and way more energetic than me. Exactly. After such injuries, we would just sit and put on a plaster. And say, mummy, I’m not stepping out of the house. But that guy is working every day, so much respect for him.”

Despite a lukewarm response at the box office, Salman’s Eid release Sikandar has managed to cross Rs 150 crore mark.
