Salman Khan addresses Arbaaz Khan-Malaika Arora’s divorce, says nephew Arhaan has gone through his own ups and downs: ‘You have to make it on your own’
Salman Khan recently appeared on his nephew Arhaan Khan's podcast, Dumb Biryani. The actor spoke about various aspects of his life.

Salman Khan recently participated in a candid conversation with his nephew Arhaan Khan, on Arhaan’s YouTube channel Dumb Biryani. This marks Salman Khan’s podcast debut. During the conversation, Salman shared several pieces of advice with Arhaan and his friends, Dev Raiyani and Arush Sharma. He also talked about Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora’s divorce, sharing that Arhaan had to go through his own share of ups and downs, and will have to make it on his own.
The three friends were having a conversation with Salman Khan in English, when the actor advised them to conduct the show in Hindi. He said, “First of all, you all should be doing this in Hindi.” To this, Arhaan quickly replied, “They don’t know Hindi.” Salman then joked, “Going forward, you guys speak to me in Hindi for this interview. I will fix your Hindi.”
This left the boys in splits. Salman continued, “You all should be ashamed of yourself for not knowing Hindi. If you are making this for the people, then make it in Hindi.” He then asked, “Or is it just a thing you all are doing for yourself?”
The conversation then turned towards the topic of Arhaan’s future plans. He asked, “What’s this guy up to?” Arhaan’s friends replied, “He wants to open a restaurant.” Salman then turned to Arhaan and asked, “If you want to run a restaurant then what’s with all the classes you have joined? Fighting, gymnastics… these things you are doing for the restaurant?”
Later in the conversation, Salman shared the importance of being respectful towards others. He said, “Irrespective of the number of years you have had a relationship for, the moment you realise that you have been stabbed in the back, you should have the power to leave that person and move on in less than 30 seconds.”
He also briefly spoke about Arbaaz Khan’s divorce from Malaika Arora in 2017 after nearly 20 years of marriage. Pointing at Arhaan, he said, “This dude out here has gone through his ups and downs. After your mom and dad’s relationship (separation), you have to make it on your own. One day you will have your own family and unit. So this is what you have to work on to have your own family. The culture of having lunch and dinner with family should always be there and there should always be a head of the family, who should be respected.”
Arbaaz and Malaika tied the knot in 1998. Arhaan was born in 2002.
