Rakesh Roshan opens up on Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan divorce, says she’s still a member of their household: ‘They had a misunderstanding’

Rakesh Roshan said that despite Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan's divorce, she continues to be a member of the Roshan household.

Hrithik Roshan married his childhood sweetheart Sussanne Khan soon after he made his debut in the movies in 2000. The two divorced after 14 years of marriage but continue to co-parents their sons and have found a way to be around each other cordially. Hrithik and Sussanne’s relationship surprised many as there was no visible animosity between them, and till date, they continue to cheer for each other and support one another in their new relationships. In a recent interview, Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan was asked about Sussanne continuing to be a part of the Roshan family, and he said that despite the relationship falling apart, she is still a member of their household.

In a chat with Yuvaa, Rakesh said, “Whatever has happened has happened between the couple, for me Sussanne is Sussanne. They were the ones who fell in love, they were the ones who had a misunderstanding, and they have to solve it. For us, she came to our house, and she is still a member of the house.” Sussanne and Hrithik have never opened up about the reasons behind their divorce. Sussanne is now dating Arslan Goni and Hrithik is now dating Saba Azad. The four of them often party together and share photos with each other on social media.

In the same conversation, Rakesh was also asked if Hrithik has ever discussed his relationships with him and Rakesh shared that Hrithik and him are “like friends.” He said, “Hrithik and my daughter are a little scared of me. I don’t know, maybe because I am a well disciplined man. I am not a short tempered person, I am not a person who will scold anybody but I am very disciplined.” He said that he got married at a young age and had kids when he was still in his 20s, so now, they are all friends at home. “When they were little, they wouldn’t talk to me openly, now they do. Now we are like friends at home.”

Rakesh and Hrithik, along with Rajesh Roshan, were recently seen in the Netflix documentary series titled The Roshans.
