Deceased Kusum Sharma was the wife of the priest at the temple. Accused Anchal Saxena, who was arrested within three hours of the incident, told police that he believed that the victim’s husband had “ill intentions” towards his family, and that he acted in “self defence”, they said.
Investigators found that Saxena did his PG from Delhi University and BA from Kirori Mal College. “He was currently preparing for UPSC exams,” an officer said.
