R Madhavan, who was recently honoured with the National Award for his film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, is quite impressed by The Vaccine War. The film helmed by Vivek Agnihotri is based on India’s process of crafting a successful Covid-19 vaccine. Madhavan watched the film and could not stop himself from penning a long note appreciating the team's efforts. He shared how he was impressed with the film. Calling Agnihotri a 'master storyteller' he added that the film makes one 'cheer, applaud, weep, and euphoric, all at the same time'. Set to a gripping musical backdrop, the teaser depicts scientists working in incredibly stressful conditions due to the elevated level of stakes involved. They also revealed that the film, touted as India’s inaugural Bio-Science cinematic endeavour, is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 28, 2023.
