Priyanka Chopra says she never looked into Nick Jonas’ previous relationships: ‘I don’t read my book backwards’

After watching the music video, Priyanka Chopra said she ‘immediately’ sent her phone number to Nick Jonas. “I immediately sent him my number. I was like that body deserves at least a date. That video, his voice, that song…every time he sings that song on stage for me, I get weak in the knees. I told him, ‘Why did you text me? My team can see my DMs,” shared the Love Again actor.

Though Priyanka searched about Nick Jonas on the internet, she never looked into his past relationships. Nick has earlier dated Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Olivia Culpo and Lily Collins. Priyanka said, “I didn’t even mean to look at any other shit. I don’t give a f*** who he dated. We’re talking about the future. I always say this, I don’t read my book backwards. I believe, you always go forward.”

However, the time when Nick Jonas approached Priyanka Chopra, she was in a ‘tumultuous’ relationship and her co-actors didn’t like her then-boyfriend and always tried to find a new guy for her. The actor revealed, “I was in a relationship at that point and so was Nick. But my co-actors hated my boyfriend at the time because I would always be on the phone in tears, so they were always trying to be like, ‘Okay, found this new guy.'”

Though Priyanka started talking to Nick, she didn’t go on the first date with him for which he invited her to the White House and Nick still makes fun of her for missing it. “He’d asked me out on one of our first dates to the White House. I didn’t go that day. He went with Jonathan Tucker because I was filming but he still makes fun of me. He is like, ‘Can you imagine what a story that would have been like our first date was Obama’s last dinner or whatever,'” the actor shared.

Priyanka Chopra has been quite busy lately. She recently promoted her Amazon Prime Video series Citadel with the Russo Brothers and her co-actor Richard Madden. After the show released, she hopped on to the promotions of her romantic drama Love Again.
