After hunting down Mumbai’s best vada pav, pav bhaji, momo, pizza, and various other food items, Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi went on a quest to find the city’s best pasta spots. As usual, they were joined by their sons, Ayushmaan and Aryamann. They chose Americano, Cin Cin, and Mag St Cafe as their three shortlisted restaurants, and began their journey. But they experienced a hiccup right at the beginning, while driving down the highway towards Kala Ghoda. Aryamann crouched behind Parmeet, who was behind the wheel, and started making a squeaking noise.

Parmeet was visibly angry. Even Archana felt that things had become serious suddenly, while Aryamann remarked, “You actually scared him.” Parmeet snapped, “Don’t ever do that. I’m high speed f*****g… I thought somebody is banging into me. Don’t ever do that… High speed…” Archana was still not sure what happened. “Kya hua?” she asked, and Aaryamann explained, “I was just copying mom. Mom, look what you did.” Archana was taken aback, as she said, “Yeh deleted scene hona padega.”

Parmeet wasn’t done. Turning his anger towards Archana, he said, “Teri wajeh se hi ho raha hai yeh. Tu karti hai backseat driving. It feels like somebody is sitting on the bonnet and giving directions. I’ve been driving for decades.” Archana replied, “I’m just sitting silently on the side. Look, I can’t change myself now, so you might as well find a new wife for yourself.” But she cut the tension with a joke: “Abhi trial period chal raha hai.”

They foursome buried the hatchet and arrived at their first spot, which they enjoyed immensely. In the end, they chose Mag St as the winner of their pasta challenge video, although they were also impressed with the two other restaurants. The vlog ended with a woman jumping into frame and asking Archana for a selfie. Archana told her that they were shooting, and assured that she would take a picture with her once they were done.

In a recent interview with SCREEN, Parmeet spoke about the rising popularity of the vlogs, and what it feels like to be married to someone as popular as Archana. He said, “Our first episode itself hit 3 million views. Every video started to gain same sort of views. It eventually became a mix of fun and podcast when we started to invite guests on our channel.”
