Paparazzo reveals understanding they had with Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt when Raha was born, says internet broke when her face was revealed
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had told the paps that they wanted them to maintain the 'privacy' of their daughter Raha, whose face the couple revealed last December.

What does it mean to take a celebrity picture? Unlike what many would assume, dignity of privacy. A paparazzo has revealed how the team of Mumbai photographers trail celebrities and the understanding they have with them when it comes to what to click, what to hide. The equation between celebrities and the paps was on display when actor couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt became parents.
In November 2022, Ranbir and Alia welcomed their baby daughter Raha. While the two stars remained curious subjects for paparazzi, the actor couple ensured their daughter doesn’t get clicked and held a meeting with the lensmen to convey the same.
During an episode of Dumb Biryani, paparazzo Sneh Zala spoke about what Ranbir and Alia told the paps and said the couple was clear they wanted them to maintain the “privacy” of the child. Later, when the couple did reveal the face of the child, the pap said the picture “broke the internet.”
“They told us that even if we happen to click a picture where her face is visible, we should hide it by using an emoticon. But we didn’t do that, we wouldn’t click at all, she is a baby. That was something we always maintained. Even during Taimur–though Saif and Kareena never asked us not to–we would avoid filming certain visuals, like him going to school with his nanny.
“We would never cross that line of privacy. The internet broke when Raha’s face was revealed. On Twitter, Alia, Ranbir and Raha, all three were trending on the same day! It was a big dhamaka for us,” he added.
Previously, Alia Bhatt’s filmmaker father Mahesh Bhatt had revealed how the couple had a word with the media before introducing the baby as they didn’t want Raha and them to be “hounded”.
Mahesh Bhatt credited the paps for understanding the need for their privacy. The filmmaker, however, also noted how comfortable Raha was in front of the cameras and said he was “quite amazed.”
