Bespectacled and dressed to impress, Oscars 2023 presenter Deepika Padukone flies to US

Deepika Padukone is off to the US to attend the 95th Academy Awards. During the early hours of Friday, Deepika was seen at the Mumbai airport as her actor-husband Ranveer Singh came to drop her off ahead of her big event.

In the videos shared on paparazzi accounts, Deepika Padukone was seen getting out of her car. Deepika was seen in a black turtleneck top layered with an oversized black blazer which she teamed with a pair of flared jeans. The actor also wore geeky glasses.

Deepika stopped to wave for the photogs and was all smiles.

It’s a proud moment for India as Deepika Padukone has been announced as a presenter at the Oscars 2023. Deepika will be seen alongside Dwayne Johnson, Michael B Jordan, Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Troy Kotsur, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Connelly, Samuel L. Jackson, Melissa McCarthy, Zoe Saldana, Donnie Yen, Jonathan Majors and Questlove at the event as a presenter.

Sharing the news via her Instagram, Deepika earlier posted the list and wrote, “#oscars#oscars95.”

The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12 (March 13 IST) at Los Angeles’ Dolly Theatre. Thsi year’s Oscars is also special as three significant Indian movies are competing for the coveted Oscars. Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes has been nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film and Guneet Monga’s The Elephant Whisperers for Best Documentary Short. SS Rajamouli RRR has scored a nomination in the Best Original Song category for ‘Naatu Naatu’. SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani and Ram Charan will be attending the award ceremony.
