Orry claims Ananya Panday was ‘jealous and insecure’ of his cameo in Call Me Bae: ‘She was not happy with me on set’

While Ananya played the lead role in the Amazon Prime Video show Call Me Bae, Orry made a guest appearance, which was well-received by fans.

Orry says Ananya Panday was jealous of his presence in Call Me Bae.

Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, and Ananya Panday share a close friendship. However, it has now come to light that their bond faced a rough patch during the filming of the Amazon Prime Video series Call Me Bae. While Ananya played the lead role in the show, Orry made a guest appearance, which was well-received by fans. In a recent episode of a podcast, the social media influencer claimed that Ananya was “jealous and insecure” about his cameo in the series.

On the Aleena Dissects podcast, Orry said, “We had a very big fallout when we were shooting for Call Me Bae. Then we patched up. She was jealous and insecure that I was going to be on Call Me Bae. She made some very mean comments.”

Orry chose to see the situation through a glass-half-full perspective, which reassured him that he was on the right career path. “If such a senior actor… To me, she’s a senior actor. She’s the lead actor on set. She could have me removed from the show. If she was threatened by my presence, then surely I am doing something right. She was not happy with me on set, no.”

It seems Ananya Panday and Orry have put their differences behind them, as they were recently spotted together at a friend’s wedding. Dressed in elegant traditional attire, the two posed for several pictures during the star-studded celebration.

Call Me Bae started streaming digitally in September 2024. It also featured Vir Das, Varun Sood, Muskkan Jafferi, and Vihaan Samat in pivotal roles. The show has been renewed for its second season.

On the professional front, Ananya Panday was last seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s OTT thriller CTRL. She has Chand Mera Dil and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri in the pipeline.
