His upcoming film “Sarbjit” is about Indian convict Sarabjit Singh, who was beaten to death in a Pakistani jail, but actor Darshan Kumar says the biopic does not have anything controversial.

The film, directed by Omung Kumar, features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the role of Dalbir Kaur, while Randeep Hooda plays her brother and Sarabjit, the protagonist.

When asked if he is expecting any controversy regarding the movie, Darshan said, “No… We just shot the jail portions, and then will go to Punjab. The film is very close to reality. There is nothing controversial.”

The young actor said the movie is shaping up well.

“It’s a tough film, set in a real zone biopic. We are focusing on every detail. I hope the audience will like it.”
