“When I first came to Mumbai, my first ever ad film which I featured in, was with Amitabh Bachchan sir. Of course, there were other kids, too, but there was also a sequence which featured just him and me. So he came up to me and said, ‘Chalo hum lines rehearse karte hain,” Nitanshi shared during a recent appearance on The Ranveer Show.

The young actor then narrated the knelt down and read lines with her. “Woh apne ghootnon pe baith gaye aur mere saath lines padhne large (Amitabh Bachchan sir knelt and rehearsed the lines with me). I was seated on a chair. He wanted our heights to be the same while going through our lines. I thought he was extremely humble,” she shared.

What also took Nitanshi Goel by surprise was that after a long day of the shoot the senior actor, despite being tired,  didn’t forget to spend time with child actors post pack-up. “Unhono apne bodyguards ko bola ‘main sab bacchon ko ek ek selfie doonga‘ (He informed his bodyguards that he was going to click selfies with us). After pack-up, he actually sat down with all of us and clicked pictures. We were thrilled. We hugged him as if he were our own grandfather. Dadaji nanaji jaise lag rahe the,” reminisced Nitanshi, adding that Amitabh’s endearing gesture has stayed with her and it constantly reminds her to stay grounded.

Helmed by Kiran and co-produced by Aamir Khan, Laapataa Ladies which was first released in theatres, dropped on Netflix in April and garnered a record 13.8 million views on Netflix, outperforming Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal.
