Actor Athiya Shetty was all praise for husband KL Rahul in a recent interview and opened up about what made her fall for him. The cricketer, who turns 31 today, is presently toiling hard for his IPL team, Lucknow Super Giants, to reach the playoffs. Athiya and Rahul got married earlier this year in January, and the actor called the occasion all about 'unconditional love and pure joy'. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Athiya shared that Rahul is a 'people's person' and a 'far better conversationalist' than her. Opening up about what got them connected, the actor said, "We have very different personalities, and I believe that’s what balances us out. However, our value system is very similar, and that’s how we connected. There are days when I am feeling a certain way, and I don’t have the energy to spell it out or make an effort to explain it well, and Rahul just understands what I’m going through. It comes naturally to him, and that’s what is so special about him." The Hero actor further shared that KL Rahul is very patient and not judgmental, the qualities that she loves the most. She added, "He always looks at the positive in any person and situation. It is this quality of his that changed my outlook towards life, because now if something unpleasant happens, I always try to look at it from another perspective. To this the actor said that it's not just for her husband but she feels that for all her loved ones. "I feel nervous when I watch Ahan [Shetty, her brother] on stage.and I have always been like that when it comes to my dad, too. It’s the love and care and protection that I have for my loved ones that makes me nervous.I am fiercely protective about them," Athiya Shetty said. Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul got married on January 23 at the former's Khandala home.
