Punjabi songs seem to have become a favourite ingredient to add in Hindi films these days. After Vicky Kaushal’s “Tauba Tauba” comes “Hauli Hauli” from Akshay Kumar‘s upcoming film Khel Khel Mein. The lyrics of the song, which is a quintessential wedding song, are written by Guru Randhawa, who has also composed the music.

“Hauli Hauli” is sung by Guru Randhawa, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Neha Kakkar. Akshay, in the song, sports a salt and pepper look. After a long time, Taapsee is seen doing a mainstream film.

As soon as the song dropped on T-Series’ YouTube channel, Yo Yo Honey Singh fans were upset that he has hardly sung two verses of the song. One fan commented, “Honey singh ke naam pe luta baap ree 😂,” another person wrote, “Where is paaaji verse only 2 sec verse.” Some viewers also expressed their delight on Guru Randhawa and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s collaboration and commented, “Yo yo aur guru saath ga rhe hai dhyan se suno.”

“Hauli Hauli” was launched in Mumbai today. The film’s cast, except Akshay Kumar, attended the song launch event.

Khel Khel Mein’s synopsis on IMDb reads, ‘The story revolves around a group of friends who gather for a dinner and end up revealing secrets about each other.” The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, also stars Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, and Aditya Seal, among others. It is scheduled to release in theatres on August 15. The movie will clash with the highly anticipated Stree 2.
