Vicky Kaushal says wife Katrina Kaif created her own era: ‘She really hustled despite things not always going for her’

Trust actor Vicky Kaushal to be husband goals every time he speaks about his wife, actor Katrina Kaif. The actor, who delivered a hit recently with Zara Hat Ke Zara Bach Ke, spoke about Katrina and how he believes that she created a success story on par with greats such as Hema Malini and Rekha on her own merit.

In a conversation with Anupama Chopra, Vicky was asked about Katrina and how she brings wisdom earned over two decades of a successful Bollywood career to their relationship. “She is very practical when it comes to work but otherwise she is a very emotional person,” Vicky said about Katrina, adding, “She will say the fact as a fact, especially when it comes to my performance or my trailer. When I show her my dance rehearsal, then I am dead. I know this is coming from all that experience, and it helps me so much. When it comes to making decisions, when I am wondering ye karu ya wo karu (what should I do)… she will really state things which I know are coming from so much experience of highs and lows, of right decisions and mistakes. When she has an opinion, I know I have to consider it seriously because it is very objective. That wisdom and practicality is something very commendable.”

Talking about her career, Vicky added, “Knowing her, not everything was going as per her, she has really hustled and worked hard and aced it. I don’t want to cross a line on her behalf but I truly feel that like there was Hema Malini’s era, Rekha’s era and I truly feel she has achieved that sort of milestone on her merit.”

He was also asked about the secret to being a good husband, to which he quipped, “Choose your moments to be quiet”. On a serious note, Vicky added, “When two people come together, we should always try and reach a middle point. We are always in the quest for a middle point which is not me, that is not you, which is us. You have to let go of you, as now it is us.”

Vicky and Katrina got married in December 2021, in an intimate ceremony in Rajasthan. Ever since the two actors have spoken fondly about supporting each other in their partnership. Vicky had earlier said that he is flawed but always trying to be the best version of himself at all times.
