The 2025 IIFA Awards, held in Jaipur on Sunday, witnessed Bollywood’s biggest A-listers delivering memorable performances on stage. However, the most remarkable acts of the night, which flooded fans with nostalgia, came from Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit. While Kareena paid tribute to her grandfather, the legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor, by recreating some of his most iconic songs, Madhuri mesmerized the audience with her impeccable dance moves on her evergreen hits.

Several videos of Kareena and Madhuri’s performances have surfaced on social media. In one clip, the Jab We Met star is seen performing to Raj Kapoor’s timeless song “Mera Joota Hai Japani” from the film Shree 420. Dressed in a black outfit paired with a grey jacket and a fedora hat, Kareena flawlessly recreated Raj Kapoor’s signature look from the song. She even carried a potli, just like he did in the original performance.

Another clip shows Kareena dancing to yet another iconic hit from Shree 420—”Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua”. This time, she paid tribute to Nargis by donning a classic black-and-white saree, exuding elegance on the IIFA stage. Kareena also performed to “Jhoot Bole Kauva Kate”, a hit track from Raj Kapoor’s directorial Bobby. The 1973 film starred Raj Kapoor’s son, the late Rishi Kapoor, and debutante Dimple Kapadia.
