Kangana Ranaut dismisses old reports of wanting to bury the release of film with Sunny Deol: ‘Only female actor to face negativity daily’
Kangana Ranaut claimed that digging old stories about a fallout with Sunny Deol is a sign of 'jealousy' around the potential success of his new film, Gadar 2.

Actor Kangana Ranaut has rubbished reports that she wanted to “thwart” the release of her 2015 film I Love NY co-starring Sunny Deol. Deol and Ranaut starred in the romantic comedy, which hit the screens in 2015 after multiple delays.
The actor took to Instagram and shared a screen shot of an article whose headline read, “When Kangana Ranaut reportedly was worried her film with Sunny Deol would destroy her career and desperately wanted to thwart the release.” Ranaut claimed that digging up a baseless throwback article was a result of “jealousy” about Deol’s upcoming Gadar 2 potentially taking a solid start at the box office.
She wrote that she never wanted to stop the release of I Love NY, and added that she is at the receiving end of constant “negativity”. Her statement on Instagram read, “Gadar 2 will be the biggest opener of the year aab jealousy ho rahi hai, khud ki film is the lowest opener of the year. Here’s the tutorial on how to sling mud on others using Kangana’s name. This is to clarify I never said such a thing, I’m a big fan of Sunny sir. PS: No other actress except for me faces this kind of negativity on a daily basis,” she concluded.
In a subsequent story, the actor said that people who work with her often wonder why she has “such a horrible media-made” perception, as she is the most professional and amazing “actor/director/artist” they have worked with. “And these people who work with me also go out of their way to tell the media how wonderful they find me and yet the negative propaganda keeps getting bigger and bigger,” a part of her story read.
The actor will be next seen in films such as Chandramukhi 2, Tejas, in which she plays the role of a fighter pilot, and her directorial Emergency, which features her as India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
