Farhan Akhtar talks about challenging Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Wazir’

‘Wazir’ will see the exciting pairing of two actors – the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar. For the latter, working with Amitabh Bachchan presented an exciting challenge more than competition.

“There is no question of any competition between me and Amitji. I see it as a great collaboration and you want to challenge each other when you are working in a scene. I have grown up seeing his films and have been a huge admirer of his work. I am still young. To work with him and to be stimulated by someone who is so good at what he does really helped my performances,” said Farhan.

Farhan, who had earlier directed Bachchan in Lakshya, said that it was fun working with him in both capacities that as an actor and director. When asked if he had exchanged any notes or taken tips from the acting legend, Farhan said, “You won’t go and speak to somebody asking them for tips. I don’t mean it as a joke. You observe. The best learning you get is by observing how somebody works. And to see his enthusiasm and excitement after 45 long years of working in the industry and that need to better yourself with every scene is amazing.”
