Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: Shilpa Shetty welcomes Ganpati home; Raj Kundra stays in mask. Watch

Actor Shilpa Shetty on Sunday began the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities as she brought home the Ganpati idol. The actor celebrates the 11-day festival with much fanfare every year along with her family. On Sunday evening, the actor was spotted along with her businessman husband Raj Kundra as the couple visited Lalbaug to bring home a beautiful Ganpati idol. The actor first offered her prayers and then went to reveal the face of the Ganpati idol to the paparazzi, who were waiting for the couple to pose along with it.

While Shilpa Shetty was dressed in a traditional attire, Raj Kundra was spotted wearing a hoodie with his face mask, without which he has stopped making public appearances.

On the work front, Shilpa Shetty is currently awaiting the release of her latest film Sukhee. Directed by debutant Sonal Joshi, Sukhee stars Shilpa Shetty as a dedicated housewife who breaks her mundane routine to attend a school reunion. Also starring Chaitanya Chaudhary, Kiran Kumar and Kusha Kapila among others, Sukhee marks Shilpa’s second theatrical release post pandemic. Last year, she featured in the action comedy Nikamma, which was panned and ultimately bombed at the box office. Sukhee is set to release on September 22.
