Fighter Movie Review Live Updates: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone film is expected to open big at the box office.Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ Movie Review and Release Live Updates: Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, in lead roles, is out in theatres on Thursday. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who has previously helmed Pathaan and War, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, among others. The Republic Day weekend release is generating a positive buzz.
However, Fighter has been refused release in all the Gulf countries, other than the UAE. Trade analyst Girish Johar previously told indianexpress.com surmised that the GCC countries may have an issue with the film’s content. However, Bollywood trade analysts are positive that the Hrithik-starrer will deliver at the box office and open with a Rs 100 crore first weekend. It has been suggested that Fighter is based on the real-life incidents of the Pulwama attack and the Balakot airstrikes, and has a clearly patriotic bent with dialogues also addressing Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and India’s surgical strikes.
A few Pakistani actors have suggested on their social media handles that the film appears to be anti-Pakistan. Siddharth responded to such accusations in a media interaction on Tuesday and said, “The primary thing I want to reiterate and what has been said in the film is that our war is not against a country, it is against terrorism. That is what Fighter stands for. It is a fight against terrorism, not against a particular country. That is emphasised throughout the film.”
