Kajol is all set to play a lawyer in the upcoming web-series The Trial, the Indian adaptation of The Good Wife. Kajol‘s husband, actor Ajay Devgn, is co-producing the show, and he attended its trailer launch event in Mumbai with her on Monday. The couple sat next to each other on stage as they discussed the show, in which Kajol’s character, Noyonika Sengupta, decides to revive her career as a lawyer after her husband gets involved in a cheating scandal.

During the interaction, Ajay was asked if Kajol takes most of the important decisions at home, and his hilarious reply has the internet in splits. Watch video:

Responding to the question, Kajol quipped, “Bilkul nahi, is sawaal ka jawaab main de deti hu (Of course not, I can answer this for you),” followed by a chortle. Ajay then asked the reporter, “Aapki shaadi ho gayi (Are you married)?” Kajol said with a laugh, “Iske baad hogi bhi nahi (he won’t after this).” Responding to Ajay query, the reporter said that he is indeed a married man, to which Ajay reacted by saying “Iss sawaal ka jawaab aap bhi de sakte hai. Jis jis ki shaadi ho gayi wo sab de sakte hai. Is sawaal ka jawab ek hi hoga, sabka unanimously ek hi jawab hoga (Then you can answer that question yourself, anyone who is married can answer that, everybody will have a unanimous answer).”

A video of the interaction was shared on a paparazzi’s Instagram account, and it attracted a lot of comments on Kajol and Ajay’s chemistry. after being married for 24 years. Several people cracked up and hailed Ajay for his sense of humour. On fan wrote, “That’s why this couple is together still a couple 😍😍😍😍,” another wrote, “Ajay is all hearts ❤️,” yet another person wrote, “love their tuning.”

The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha, helmed by Suparn Varma, will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from July 14.
