Divya Khossla drops ‘Kumar’ surname amid rumours of divorce from Bhushan Kumar, spokesperson clears the air

Actor-director-producer Divya Khossla, who is married to T-Series chairman and MD Bhushan Kumar, recently dropped ‘Kumar’ from her surname and unfollowed T-Series on Instagram, leading to speculations about their marriage. The production house’s spokesperson has now cleared the air. Zoom TV reports that sources close to the filmmaker’s team have claimed these reports to be false. “No Truth,” added the source.

The T-Series’ spokesperson cited numerology and Divya’s belief in astrology as the reason behind the change in her name. “Divya Khossla‘s choice to drop her married surname, driven by astrological beliefs, is a personal decision and should be respected, her addition of an ‘s’ to her maiden surname, symbolising her astrological belief is for the same thought,” the spokesperson said. The actor, who will be seen in Hero Heeroine, had previously added an ‘s’ extra to her surname ‘Khosla’.

The 36-year-old tied the knot with Bhushan in the year 2011, and they have a son together. Divya has acted in films such as Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo, Sanam Re, Satyameva Jayate, and Yaariyan 2, among others. She turned director with Yaariyan, and later helmed Sanam Re.  

While there were speculations that Divya had also unfollowed her husband on social media, it has been found that she continues to follow him.
