Diljit Dosanjh walks with folded hands but doesn’t let paparazzi do their job, claims paparazzo: ‘He was enjoying this 3-4 years ago’
Paparazzo Varinder Chawla said that Diljit Dosanjh was enjoying the paparazzi culture in Mumbai until he got international stardom.

Diljit Dosanjh, who gained international stardom this year, performed various shows in India for his local fans. For the singer, who initially started his career as a popstar in Punjab, 2024 was particularly remarkable as he performed at the biggest international venues but, it appears that some of his local admirers, including the paparazzi community in India was not happy with how his team conducted themselves. In a recent interview, paparazzo Varinder Chawla shared that until a few years ago, Diljit was really appreciative of the paparazzi culture in India and would frequently engage with them but that wasn’t the case anymore. He said that Diljit has now hired international bouncers who don’t allow photographers to take candid photos of the artiste.
In a chat with Faridoon Shahryar on his YouTube channel, Varinder said that 3-4 years ago, when Diljit had moved to Mumbai from Punjab, he was quite appreciative of the paparazzi culture but wasn’t supportive of it anymore. “It was almost 3-4 years ago that he moved from Punjab to Mumbai and had a few movies up for release. Whenever I would post about him, he would like the post. Whenever I texted him, he would reply. He was really enjoying paparazzi culture then.”
He added, “The times have changed now and now, he is an international celebrity. The paparazzi culture he really liked a few years ago, now he has hired a few international bouncers who shine some bright lights on the paparazzi so they can’t get the photos and videos. There were two international bouncers with Diljit just a few days ago.”
Varinder continued, “You can do this in the US with their paparazzi but we are the same people we were four years ago. On one hand, you walk around with your hands folded… those paparazzi are also doing their job only and you are not allowing them to do that. When has a photographer ever disturbed Diljit at the airport? Whenever he comes, photographers just say ‘paaji, paaji’ and now he is shining bright lights into their eyes and not letting them take pictures.”
