Diljit Dosanjh performed in Mumbai on Thursday night as a part of his Dil-Luminati India Tour. At the start of the show, Diljit addressed the crowd and spoke about the new advisory that was issued for him by the Maharashtra government, and explained it to his audience in the form of a mythological story. The Maharashtra government issued a notice asking the singer to not sing songs that mentioned drugs, alcohol and violence. A similar advisory was previously issued in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh before his concerts by the state governments. In a video being shared online, Diljit addressed his audience at the start of his concert and promised them that they would have fun despite the restrictions.
He said, “You don’t worry about it. The advisory is for me. I will make sure that you have double the fun than you expected.” He then shared his thoughts about the advisory and said, “When I was doing yoga this morning, I had a thought in my head. I thought today’s show should start with that. When Sagar Manthan happened, the amrit was taken by the Devtas, but the poison was taken by Shiv. But Shiv also did not consume that poison, he held it in his throat. So I have learnt that life and the world might throw poison at you, but you should never take it in you. That’s what I have learnt. Don’t let your work suffer. People might stop you but you should not let yourself get bothered from inside. Enjoy, have fun.”
Diljit ended his chat on a positive note as he performed Allu Arjun’s Pushpa gesture and said, “Aaj jhukega nahi.”

In another video, Diljit can be heard saying that Mumbai, which is the primary hub of the Hindi film industry, produces a lot songs on alcohol. “This is Mumbai right? There are lots of songs here in movies that are on alcohol, too many songs. I don’t want to name any artist or name their songs but you know better. You know how many songs are made in Bollywood but my songs are making the most noise these days,” he said.
Diljit is now looking forward to his concert in Guwahati on December 29.
