Dhurandhar box office collection day 6: Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, is going from strength to strength at the domestic box office. In the six days since its release, the film has made Rs 180 crore at the domestic box office, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. It appears that the film could cross the Rs 200 crore milestone before heading into its second weekend.

On Wednesday (day 6), Dhurandhar earned Rs 26.50 crore, only a slight decrease from its Tuesday’s (day 5) earnings of Rs 27 crore, which was a decent rise from its Monday’s (day 4) collection of Rs 23.25 crore. Monday was its lowest single-day collection, followed by its highest single-day, as the film amassed Rs 43 crore on Sunday (day 3). Dhurandhar earned Rs 32 crore on Saturday (day 2), a day after opening at Rs 28 crore on Friday.

It appears that the film will cross Rs 200 crore mark on its seventh day. Dhurandhar is also on the verge of becoming Ranveer’s highest grosser since 2019’s Simmba. It has already surpassed his last solo lead release, Karan Johar’s 2023 family comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which earned Rs 153.55 crore at the domestic box office. Ranveer’s new film had already beaten his other hits like Kabir Khan’s 83 (Rs 107 crore), Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy (Rs 139 crore), and is on the cusp of crossing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani (Rs 184 crore).

Dhurandhar will soon become the third highest grosser of Ranveer’s career. The second position is held by Rohit Shetty’s 2018 cop comedy Simmba, which earned Rs 240.30 crore. The top position is secured by Bhansali’s 2018 period drama Padmaavat, which concluded its lifetime domestic box office run at Rs 302 crore.

Starting this Friday, Dhurandhar will face fresh competition from Kapil Sharma-starrer comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. Next Friday, James Cameron’s Hollywood epic fantasy Avatar: Fire and Ash will serve as a roadblock. On the occasion of Christmas, the film will face another hurdle in the form of Sriram Raghavan’s period military drama Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda and the late Dharmendra, and Sameer Vidhwans’ romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday.
