Directed by late filmmaker, Yash Chopra, ‘Deewar’ had Amitabh Bachchan play the role of Vijay Verma and further cemented his stand as Bollywood’s ‘angry young man’. Amitabh Bachchan was also nominated for the Best Actor Award that year.

The film also had Shashi Kapoor playing the role of his younger brother Ravi.
