Comedian Zakir Khan has become one of the most recognisable names in the Indian stand-up comedy scene. He regularly embarks on world tours with his stand-up specials and has performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall in the UK. Recently, Zakir recalled his trip to Korea where he met the globally popular boy band BTS but didn’t recognise them. He even ended up asking one of the members who they were.
Narrating the incident during a chat with The Lallantop, Zakir explained that he tends to overthink things, which may have contributed to him not recognising the K-pop band while being in the same room with them. He shared, “I happened to go to Korea once, and there is a very famous band there by the name of BTS. I knew there is a band called BTS and I also know that they are famous. And by chance I went there for an event to interview a very big celebrity and the band was also there to meet the same person.”
The band BTS consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The band temporarily took a break as its members enlisted for compulsory military training. However, all of them have now completed their service and are pursuing solo careers. Recently, Jin and J-Hope performed at sold-out shows in Tokyo and Berlin. Meanwhile, V, Jungkook, Jimin, and RM have been going live and interacting with fans.
