There is no denying that Vicky Kaushal‘s Chhaava has slowed down at the box office, but the film is still managing to attract audiences to theatres in its fourth week of release. Chhaava has experienced a consistent decline in collections throughout the week. On Wednesday, it saw a further five percent drop, earning Rs 4.75 crore at the box office, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This marks the first time the film’s daily collections have fallen below the Rs 5 crore mark since its release on February 14.

The film’s total domestic collections have now reached Rs 535.55 crore. Out of this, the Hindi version has contributed Rs 524.45 crore, while the Telugu version has raked in Rs 11.1 crore. Chhaava recorded an overall 10.45 percent Hindi occupancy and 13.29 percent Telugu occupancy on Wednesday.

According to reports, Chhaava’s worldwide collection has reached Rs 727.25 crore. While Vicky’s film has surpassed hits like Gadar 2 (Rs 686 Cr), Sultan (Rs 607.84 Cr), and Sanju (Rs 438 crore), it is Rs 18 crore away from overtaking Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster Animal and trails Rs 63 crore behind Stree 2’s domestic collection.

In its first week, Chhaava collected Rs 219.25 crore, followed by Rs 180.25 crore in the second week and Rs 84.05 crore in the third. In the fourth week, the film witnessed a remarkable 91 percent jump in collections on Saturday, earning Rs 16.75 crore. However, after that spike, the collections have steadily declined, with the film earning Rs 10.75 crore on Sunday, Rs 6 crore on Monday, Rs 5 crore on Tuesday, and an even lower figure on Wednesday. Despite the decline, the upcoming Holi holiday is expected to boost the film’s earnings.

On Wednesday, Vicky Kaushal shared a behind-the-scenes moment from Chhaava. The clip highlighted how Akshaye Khanna brought the menacing character of Aurangzeb to life.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta.
