Badshah reveals how Shah Rukh Khan’s advice helped him overcome a rough patch: ‘I felt liberated’

During a recent interview, Badshah revealed how Shah Rukh Khan told him that he did nothing but just learned how to make pasta during his 4 year sabbatical.

In a recent interview, singer Badshah opened up about going through a rough patch, where his songs were not doing that well. While pondering about the same on a flight, he met Shah Rukh Khan. The singer shared that Shah Rukh’s advice helped him bounce back a lot. Badshah also recalled how SRK told him that while he was on a sabbatical, he only learned how to make pasta and in the best possible way.

Badshah said, “Recently, I met SRK on a flight, and it just helped me. I was going through a rough patch creatively. First, his manager Pooja Dadlani came. I was clicking a photo, so she said, ‘Are you done with your modeling?’ Then she went back and called me too. I thought she was alone, but then I saw SRK also sitting there.”

“I had made a song which was not good. When I met SRK sir on a flight recently, he asked how the music was going, I said, ‘I made a song which was not good.’ Then he told me, ‘Don’t make it. It took 4 years to learn to make only pasta, so make it whenever you feel like it and make it with all your heart. I didn’t do anything just made Pasta,'” Badshah added as he recalled the conversation with Shah Rukh Khan.

The singer further said that those words from Shah Rukh Khan helped him. “And I felt liberated when I got help, validation from a personality like Shah Rukh Khan.” Badshah added, “Intent matters a lot to do anything in life.”

Badshah’s latest song is “Get Ready” from Varun Dhawan’s Baby John. On the acting front, Badshah will be next seen in Dharma Productions’ film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. He is currently seen as a judge on the latest season of Indian Idol.
