Neil Bhoopalam on his upcoming films NH10 and Ungli

Theatre for Bhoopalam has always been his training turf. “It has taught me to be true to oneself, to count team effort. I keep doing theatre, polishing my craft, and never take a break. It’s a constant activity,” says Bhoopalam. It’s evident in the recent video I’m Not A Woman by The East India Comedy which shows four men —  Bhoopalam, Rajit Kapur, Meiyang Chang and Sorabh Pant — presenting an apology for the way men treat women in India.

But Bhoopalam claims to be a laid-back guy, “who deliberately fills his work schedule to keep busy”. “I would like to be an actor who has consistent innings. I am in no hurry to make a big splash, instead I want each year to be better than the previous one,” he says.
Currently, he is awaiting the release of Dharma Production’s Ungli (directed by Rensil D’Silva). Starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda and Neha Dhupia, the story is about four youngsters who turn vigilantes. His next is in Anushka Sharma’s NH10, where they play a urban couple who decide to go on a getaway. The film is about their trip and what happens
