Archana Purana Singh’s ‘shameful secret’ from her childhood reminds Yogita Bihani of ‘Paapi Gudiya’: ‘I was so stupid’
Archana Puran Singh confessed how she showed off her doll to the world in a very child-like fashion.

Archana Puran Singh had an idyllic childhood in the hills of Dehradun. On her latest vlog shared on her YouTube channel, Archana recreated a birthday party from her childhood on the occasion of her birthday and told her family about a “shameful secret” from those days. As Archana was making her confession, her daughter-in-law-to-be, Yogita Bihani, was reminded of Paapi Gudiya, a horror film about a haunted doll made in 1996 starring Karisma Kapoor.
Archana said, “I want to share a secret” and proceeded to recall that an Italian friend of her father bought her a life-size doll that would say ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa’. As a child, Archana was quite attached to the doll and would want the world to see it, so she came up with a plan. “There was a gate in front of our house and the gateposts were quite big. I asked one of the staff members of the house to place me on top of the gateposts. I would sit on top of that with my doll. Anyone who would walk by would see me sitting with my doll,” Archana shared.
She then recalled that the passers-by must not be looking at her doll, but at her. “I feel like they were not looking at my doll, they must be thinking ‘pagal ladki yahan…” she recalled as she called it a “shameful secret” from her childhood.
The family members, husband Parmeet Sethi, sons Aaryamann and Ayushmaan Sethi and daughter-in-law-to-be, Yogita Bihani were sitting around her, and as soon as Yogita heard this story, she laughed and said, “Paapi gudiya.” Archana added, “Any time anyone would walk by, I would make the doll say ‘Mama ‘Papa’. Now I think, how stupid I was.” To this, Parmeet said, “I am still thinking how stupid she is.”
Archana and her family later took a trip to the mall where her sons told her buy whatever she wanted, and they would pay for it from their own pocket. Archana was overwhelmed by their gesture. Later, Parmeet surprised her with two cakes from her favourite bakery in Dehradun.
