Anil Kapoor greets Kirron Kher by touching her feet at lunch hosted by Abhinav Bindra. See pics
After announcing that he'll be backing the Abhinav Bindra biopic, starring his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Kirron Kher met the athlete's family recently.

It looks like the long-in-the-making Abhinav Bindra biopic is finally taking off after numerous stops and stars. At least that’s what Kirron Kher’s latest social media post suggests. The actor-politician shared pictures from a lunch hosted by the Bindra family, and Anil Kapoor was also in attendance. According to reports, Anil’s son Harsh Varrdhan is all set to play the Olympics gold medalist in the biopic. The film has been in the pipeline for over five years, and Harsh first announced it in 2018.
Kirron shared a bunch of pictures from the lunch party at the Bindra’s on Monday. In the pictures, Anil Kapoor is seen greeting Kirron by touching her feet. Incidentally, she is only four years elder to him. See the pictures here:

The Abhinav Bindra biopic has been in talks for several years. It was first announced in 2018, after Harsh shot to fame with Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. While announcing the film, Harsh had shared on Instagram, “For someone who’s chased perfection all his life, @Abhinav_Bindra can be a hard man to please to some. But I think he’s happy with the writing… We are being as real to his story as possible. It was surreal to watch him listen to the cinema adaption of his own story. We’ve been working on the script for the last 6-8 months to make sure everything is authentic. Shoot begins fall 2018.”

After several years of no new updates, Anil Kapoor recently spoke about backing the film. In a recent interview with The Times of India, Anil had said that Abhinav’s is not a “standard rags-to-riches,” story and that they are trying to “develop a narrative which is true to who Abhinav is.” He had also said, “We are trying to make it cinematic and at the same time true to his nature and life.”
