Amitabh Bachchan will soon be hosting his grandson and The Archies actor Agastya Nanda on his quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 15. Agastya will be accompanied by his co-stars Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Dot and Yuvraj Menda, and the film’s director Zoya Akhtar. During the episode, the superstar will go down memory lane, revisiting the first time he held Agastya, his daughter Shweta Nanda’s son, in his arms five minutes after he was born.
A promo of the episode was recently shared by Sony TV which had Agastya requesting his ‘nanu’ to ask him simpler questions. Making his request poetically, Agastya says in the video, “Nanu aap OG, Nanu aap mahaan, KBC ke sawaal dedo aap asaan (Nanu, you are OG, Nanu, you are great. Please give us easy KBC questions).” But Big B refuses to accept his request.
Later in the video, the Baaghban actor introduced Agastya as his daughter’s son to the audience and shared, “Five minutes after he was born, I held him in my arms. He had a habit of scratching my beard with a finger.” The senior actor got emotional as he said, “But then he grew up and became an artist.”
The episode’s preview, which was shown after Wednesday’s episode of KBC 15, also had senior Bachchan revealing how Agastya has now moved into the music room of his Mumbai bungalow and has changed its entire look according to his liking. “Vo room ab inka ho gaya hai, ye deewar todo, ye zameen todo, bistar vahan nahi hoga (That room is his now. Break this wall. Change the flooring. The bed won’t be here),” Bachchan shared with Zoya when she asked him about his music room.
During the episode, Big B also indulged in a fun banter with Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and introduced the audience to Sridevi’s younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor.
The episode featuring the stars of The Archies, which started streaming on Netflix on December 7, will air on Sony TV on December 14.
