Akshay Kumar on his disappointing box office run in 2024: ‘It’s not like this has happened for the first time’

At the trailer launch of Sky Force, Akshay Kumar revealed what was his biggest takeaway from 2024 when most of his films failed at the box office.

Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest actors in the Hindi film industry. Despite having many releases, 2024 was a dull year for Akshay as many of his movies failed at the box office. Now, Akshay is gearing up for his first release in 2025, Sky Force. At the film’s trailer launch, Akshay was asked about not having a great 2024, and he said this is not the first time that he has had a bad year.

Talking about his flops in 2024, Akshay said, “It’s not like this has happened for the first time. The best thing to do is keep on working hard. I keep telling myself this, and talk about it to others too, you have to keep on working hard. Lots of people come and tell me to do a maximum of two films in a year. But if I can work more, why shouldn’t I? My entire career has been made at this pace with dedication and hard work. I have also been told not to take up content-based films, but I don’t want to do that. Even though the film didn’t work, I was very proud that I made a film like Sarfira. It is one of my best films.”

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Sky Force is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur. The movie, also starring Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya, is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik, and will be released in theatres on January 24, 2025. Other this this, Akshay Kumar has Jolly LLB 3, Welcome To The Jungle, Housefull 5, Hera Pheri 3, and Bhoot Bangala in the pipeline.
