Ahead of Suhana Khan’s birthday, Siddharth Anand hints at announcement related to her film with dad Shah Rukh Khan, King

Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma are expected to be apart of Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan-starrer King.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s darling daughter Suhana Khan is turning 25 on May 22. While Suhana already debuted in Zoya Akhtar’s teen Netflix film The Archies in 2023, this young star is all set for her big screen launch in a full-fledged commercial role, in director Siddharth Anand’s film King. And looks like the makers have some announcements to make her special day! Suhana will be playing a pivotal role in the film King, and is sharing screen space with father Shah Rukh Khan.

On Wednesday night, Siddharth Anand made a single-word tweet that read, “Tomorrow,” with an evil eye emoji. The cryptic post started a fan frenzy, as many interpreted it to mean that the shoot of the much-awaited Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan starrer King is all set to start.

While there are reports that the film might go on floors soon, a few are also expecting a poster or any first look reveal by the makers.

The film also marks the long-speculated and highly anticipated collaboration between SRK and director Siddharth Anand. The duo delivered Pathaan two years ago. SRK followed it up with jawan and Dunki.

Fans are expecting that the first look poster or teaser might be revealed on Suhana Khan’s special day. As per a few reports, a Suhana-centric reveal is very much on the cards.

According to reports, King will see Shah Rukh Khan step into the role of a powerful don, an influential figure in the crime world. The story revolves around his character mentoring a young woman, played by Suhana, as she learns to survive in a high-stakes, dangerous world.

Rani Mukerji is reportedly set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan on screen after a gap of 19 years in King. Rani’s role will be integral to the film’s emotional arc and she is likely to play the mother of Suhana’s character.

Deepika Padukone is also expected to join the ensemble. After films like War, Pathaan, and Fighter, Siddharth Anand has set his bar high and fans are looking forward for an ambitious action-drama. Abhay Verma, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat and the Ram-Lakhan duo, Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor are also a part of the film King. Arshad Warsi has also come on board.

While Abhay is expected to be seen as Suhana Khan’s love interest, Abhishek Bachchan will be playing a formidable enemy. Anil Kapoor will be reportedly seen as an assassin, while Arshad Warsi’s role is described as “sweet, quirky, funny, and cute” with subtle grey shades.

With this stunning star power and a seasoned director, King is certainly a much-awaited film. The film is slated for a grand release in late 2026.
