Tiger is getting ready for another mission. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty on Thursday announced the latest entrant in his ambitious–and ever growing cop universe, actor Tiger Shroff.
Tiger has joined the cast of the director’s Singham Again, the third instalment of the franchise, which is headlined by Ajay Devgn. The announcement comes just days after actor Deepika Padukone came on board the film, as a cop.
Shetty took to Instagram and shred three still of Tiger as the new cop on the block, ACP Satya. “Meet Special Task Force officer ACP SATYA 🇮🇳… the immortal, like Truth! Welcome to the squad…Tiger,” the director wrote.
Tiger also shared the same pictures on his social media and wrote, “ACP Satya reporting on duty Singham sir 🫡 #SinghamAgain.” The pictures showed tiger flexing his muscles, holding a gun, walking amid fire and explosions.
Singham Again now has a packed ensemble, led by Ajay Devgn in the titular role, Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi, Ranveer Singh as Simmba, Deepika Padukone as cop Shakti Shetty. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, who is yet to be officially announced. It is rumoured that Arjun Kapoor will be seen as the antagonist in the actioner.
Singham Again went on floors in Hyderabad, recently. The film is gearing up for a grand release during the Independence Day weekend in August next year, which is when Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is also slated to be released.
Tiger Shroff, meanwhile, is currently seen in Ganapath. The actioner, also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon, released today.
