Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was all over the news after she made an epic entry on Cannes red carpet. Being a regular at Cannes, Aishwarya’s red carpet look are always among the most anticipated looks. While she would often pull off fancy gowns at the carpet, this time the actress chose a desi avatar. She surprised her fans by wearing a beautiful white handloom in a handwoven kadwa ivory banarasi saree. She complimented her look with a handwoven tissue drape and imperial heirloom of rubies designed by celebrity designer Manish Malhotra. However, it was her bold red sindoor look that caught the attention of her fans.

Amitabh Bachchan continues his streak of blank post

Aishwarya Rai’s statement look prompted many reactions online with many claiming this was the actress’ tight slap to all who speculated her divorce rumours with actor Abhishek Bachchan. Many even went to check actor Amitabh Bachchan’s X post as he often posts things in support of his family. However, to everybody’s surprise, the veteran star continued his streak of blank posts where he just numbers them and writes nothing. Amitabh Bachchan’s last post was on May 17. It was dedicated to Indian soldiers post the Pahalgam attack.

Abhishek Bachchan steps out for dinner with Jaya, Diana Penty

Abhishek Bachchan has earlier accompanied his wife to the Cannes International Film Festival. This time, however, the actor gave the festival a miss as he spotted dining with his mother Jaya Bachchan. The mother-son duo were accompanied by actress Diana Penty. A video of Abhishek Bachchan hugging Diana Penty goodbye has surfaced online. Jaya, who was also with them couldn’t be pictured. However, a video of them leaving the restaurant together was circulated online.

Aishwarya has been attending Cannes film festival for over two decades now. Being the brand ambassador of L’oreal, the actress is invited to the French carpet every year. On the work front, she was last seen in her Guru Mani Ratnam’s two-part period drama film Ponniyin Selvan. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer King, also starring his daughter Suhana Khan.
