17 years after they appeared together in Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary are back together. A new ad for an energy drink has Aamir playing Darsheel’s grandfather as he takes him on an ‘adventure through time’.

The ad begins with Darsheel sharing his life’s problems with his ‘dadu’ and the grandfather offers him a beverage. With each sip of the beverage, Darsheel travels to a different timeline and sees Aamir in different avatars. Aamir’s looks in these avatars were previously shared by Darsheel on his Instagram handle.

The ad was shared with the caption, “Join #AamirKhan as he goes on an adventure through time with Charged by Thums Up.👍👊”

When Darsheel Safary shared the first look of the ad with Aamir Khan, many believed that this was their look from the upcoming film Sitare Zameen Par. During the recent promotions of his production, Laapataa Ladies, Aamir had shared that his next film would be titled Sitare Zameen Par.

Aamir was last seen in 2022’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which failed miserably at the box office, but generated some positive response after it started streaming. A few months after the film’s release, Aamir announced a sabbatical from the movies.
