Aamir Khan often makes headlines for his drastic transformations before each of his films, gaining him the title of Mr Perfectionist. In 2016, when he was making his film Dangal, the Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak actor was in the news for gaining approximately 28 kgs to portray the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat. For his film Ghajini (2008), Aamir Khan created a six-pack body for his shirtless scenes when he makes tattoos of the names and messages he needs to remember to take revenge for the death of his lover. Now, the actor shared how he didn't care to shower for days to maintain the continuity of his characters in his films like Raakh (1989) and Ghulam (1998). While speaking at a recent event, Aamir Khan said his dedication to look like a certain character comes from his will to do his role at its best. "I am not the one who has called myself a perfectionist but I like it and accept it", said Aamir Khan at ABP Live Summit. Sharing how he didn't shower for days to make his characters look convincing, Aamir Khan said, "When I was doing the second film of my career, Raakh, I didn't take a shower for many days. In that film, a situation is created where I have left the house and have been living on the streets. So to stay in that character, and to make people believe I am actually homeless, I didn't shower until the shots were done." If you see the film, I get beaten up a lot. So as I get beaten up, my wound gets severe, I bleed. Now, if I had taken a shower then the continuity of how I look after getting beaten up would get compromised. So I decided to not take a shower for a week to keep the same look. I didn't want to look fresh." Despite going to extreme lengths to look convincing in his many characters, Aamir Khan says he doesn't care to work out until demanded. He shared, "I am very unfit. I never workout until I am demanded to for a certain role. I am extremely lazy. As an artiste I just try to make my audience believe that the character I am playing is my only identity at the moment and people forget Aamir Khan. I love it when my fans call me by my characters' names."
