Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, on September 2 took to the social media platform, Instagram, to share the news of her joining IIM Ahmedabad’s Blended Post Graduate Programme. “Dreams do come true. The next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026,” she wrote.
In January this year, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) launched a new two-year online MBA programme. This new course by IIM Ahmedabad is a blended (hybrid) programme combining on-campus, in-person, and live interactive online sessions.
An IIM-Ahmedabad professor took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to comment on the high-profile student and her admission.
“She got solid CV btw (by the way). You don’t necessarily need CAT. Irrespective, hats off to everyone for being courageous enough to sign up for rigorous program. PS: Just like other students, looking forward to her posts cribbing abt hard life at IIM-A,” said Promila Agarwal, an associate professor at IIM-A and an active X user.
With a rigorous curriculum with focus on case-based learning, this programme at IIM Ahmedabad is designed for working professionals and entrepreneurs with a minimum work experience of three years. The course delivery in online synchronous mode through a combination of five distinct on-campus modules.
As per the official website of IIM Ahmedabad, the programme fee is Rs 20 lakh which excludes the cost of travel and accommodation for the campus modules.
— Working Professionals and Entrepreneurs with a minimum of three years of full-time work experience, after completion of graduation, as on June 30, 2024.
— Minimum age of 24 years as on June 30, 2024 (i.e. must be born on or before June 30, 2000.) There is no upper age limit.
— Holding at least a bachelor’s degree/CA/CS/ICWA or equivalent in any discipline. (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India i.e. 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be.), with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any of the recognised universities.
— Online IIMA Admission Test (IAT) designed for Online MBA or
— A valid CAT score (CAT score of tests taken within the last 5 years from May 01, 2024) or
— A valid GMAT/GRE score (GMAT/GRE score taken within the last 5 years from May 01, 2024)
— The new GMAT Focus Edition exam scores will also be acceptable.
— For final selection, shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interview
IIM Ahmedabad’s application process for the 2024-2026 batch of was conducted between February and May, and the IAT exam was conducted on May 19 and 26. Following this, the shortlist announcement was made on May 29 and the interview was conducted in the month of June. final offers were made on June 12, following which the pre MBA module commenced on August 1 and the campus module began on September 1 at the IIM Ahmedabad campus. The online module will begin on September 12.
