WBJEE 2025 Information Brochure: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) on December 24 released the information bulletin for the WBJEE 2025, which outlines details for the common entrance test (CET). The WBJEE exam is scheduled to take place on April 27, for admission into courses in engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture.
Paper one (mathematics) will be conducted at 11 am and conclude at 1 pm while paper two (physics and chemistry) will be conducted from 2 pm till 4 pm.
Although the exam date has been announced, the WBJEE registration process has not yet begun. The information bulletin specifies that any application not in compliance with the conditions outlined in the information bulletin is liable to be rejected. It is also important to note that the exam date is ‘tentative’ and can be changed.
The application fees for the general candidates are:
Male: Rs 500
Female: Rs 400
Third gender: Rs 300
The application fees for the SC/ST/ OBC-A /OBC-B/EWS/ PwD/ TFW candidates are:
Male: Rs 400
Female: Rs 300
Third gender: Rs 200
Candidates appearing in both paper 1 and paper 2 are eligible for the general merit rank (GMR) and pharmacy merit rank (PMR). Such candidates will be considered for admission in all courses of engineering and pharmacy.
Candidates appearing only in paper 2 are eligible for PMR only. Such candidates will be considered for admission into pharmacy courses only (except at Jadavpur University). Candidates appearing only in paper one are not eligible for any rank.
— Students must be citizens of India or OCI (subject to approval of the Competent Authority). OCI candidates will be eligible for only for the unreserved seats in the All-India quota.
— Aspirants should have passed the Class 12 (10+2) or its equivalent examination before 2025 or appearing in the 12 standard (10+2) or its equivalent examination in 2025.
— “The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as of 31.12.2025. A candidate should have been born on or before 31.12.2008. There is no upper age limit for appearing in the examination. ii. However, for admission to the degree-level Marine Engineering Course, the upper age limit is 25 Years as of 31.12.2025,” read the notification.
The seat matrix for the WBJEE academic session 2025-26 will be announced by the office of the Director of Technical Education in due course of time, read the notification.
The reservation of seats will be available for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD/TFW/EWS category of candidates as per applicable rules set by the competent authority with up to 10 per cent of the approved seats in all self-financed engineering and technology colleges of state available for JEE Main 2025 candidates.
