WB HS Result 2024: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) today (May 8) announced the Uchcha Madhyamik result or WB HS results. The WB HS result is first announced in a press conference, after which the marksheets are released at the official websites — wbchse.wb.gov.in, wbresults.nic.in.
The West Bengal Class 12 result is also available at education.indianexpress.com.
Once released, students can check the WBCHSE Class 12 results at the official website — wbresults.nic.in at 3 pm.
WBCHSE conducted the class 12 exams from February 16 to 29, which were held in the morning shift, i.e. from 9:45 am to 1 pm, in a pen-paper mode.
To check the scorecard, candidates need to click on the “Examination Results” section available on the home page, and then select “Senior Secondary Annual Examination 2024”. After that, choose your respective subject, and enter your roll number and roll code in the designated subject. Once you click on ‘submit’, the scorecard will be visible on the screen. It is advised to download and save the scorecard for future reference.
Students should remember that the original mark sheets, pass certificates and related documents will be distributed among the schools or heads of the institution later.
Last year, the pass percentage was recorded at 89.25 per cent, which was an increase from the 2022 pass percentage of 88.44 per cent. Interestingly, a total 52,878 WBCHSE students (6.66 per cent of total success students) scored 80 per cent and above marks last year. As many as 2,73,580 students (38.65 per cent of total successful students) scored 60 per cent and above marks. Also, pass percentage among students belonging to minority communities was 87.58 per cent, while it was 87.75 per cent for students belonging to SC/ST communities.
As per the data shared by the West Bengal board, last year a total of 87 students featured in the top ten merit list out of which 46 were male students. 18 out of these 87 candidates were from Hooghly district, 12 were from South, 24 from Parganas district and 3 were from Kolkata.
