President Droupadi Murmu, PM Modi, Shah wishes civil servants on Civil Services Day 

Civil Services Day: The Union Public Service Commission announced the results of the civil services examination. This year, Aditya Srivastava and Animesh Pradhan have scored AIR 1 and 2 respectively, followed by Donuru Ananya Reddy at the third spot.

On the occasion of Civil Services Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the civil servants for furthering governance and public welfare. In a post on the microblogging site, X, PM Modi said “Warm wishes to all civil servants on Civil Services Day. Their commitment and hard work in serving our nation are deeply appreciated. They play a pivotal role in furthering governance and public welfare.”

Giving them best wishes, he said civil servants are at the forefront of implementing policies, overcoming challenges, and driving social change.

President of India, Droupadi Murmu also wished the civil servants saying that they have carried forward the great legacy of working for the progress of the country with indefatigable spirit.

“Our civil services always face the challenge to adapt quickly to the dynamic environment, while upholding the three fundamental values Sardar Patel underlined in his speech on this day in 1947 – “dignity, integrity and incorruptibility”.” read a statement from President Droupadi’s post on X.

 

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar called civil servants ‘the backbone of India’s governance structure’. “I wish them all the best as they continue to dedicate themselves towards building a Viksit Bharat@2047.” read his post on X.

Home Minister Amit Shah also wished and reminded them to uphold the spirit of serving the nation. “This day is not merely a commemoration but a poignant reminder of our responsibility to uphold the spirit of serving the nation. On this occasion, may we all recommit ourselves to fulfilling the aspirations of the people by reaching out to every citizen, including the marginalized sections of our society.” read the statement.
