"Discussion is the only way forward. I am ready to discuss all the matters with the chief minister at any designated place, be it Raj Bhavan or Nabanna. I have also written to her in this regard," Dhankhar told reporters at the state assembly.

The closed gate infuriated the Governor, who standing outside the assembly, said, "Why is the gate closed? That too despite my prior intimation. Assembly adjourned does not mean Assembly is closed."

Government sources said among the Bills for which the Governor has not given his nod yet are West Bengal (Prevention of Lynching) Bill, 2019 that makes lynching punishable by death sentence and West Bengal State Commission for SC and ST Bill.
