(Representative Image/Express Photo)UPSC CDS Exam I: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today released the notification and opened applications for Combined Defence Services Examination 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website — upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in — from May 15.
The last date to submit the application form is June 4, till 6 pm. There are a total of 459 vacancies for various courses. As per UPSC, CDS II examination will be conducted on September 1.
To fill out the application form, the candidates need to keep their photo ID proof ready such as Aadhaar Card, voter ID card, PAN card, passport or driving license. Moreover, a scanned photograph, scanned signature, Class 10 certificate, matriculation certificate, enrollment and degree certificates and banking details.
Step 1: Visit the official website — upsconline.nic.in
Step 2: Click on ‘One Time Registration of examination’ link
Step 3: Register by filling in your details such as name, date of birth, gender, category, parents’ names and more
Step 4: Once registered, login using your login id, OTP and verification code
Step 5: Verify the information submitted before and fill the application form
Step 6: Once application form is filled, save, submit and pay the fees
Step 7: Download the application form with fee payment status for future reference from the dashboard
— For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
— For Indian Naval Academy— Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution
— For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10 plus 2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Candidates who are studying in the final year or semester Degree course and are yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply, but they should not have any present backlog upto the last semester.
Candidates (excepting Female, SC, ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200 either by Credit or Debit Card or UPI Payment or by using internet banking facility of any Bank.
Candidates can make modifications to the application form from June 5 to 11. The candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their applications after the submission of the same. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card on the last working day of the preceding week of the date of examination.
