
TNDGE Tamil Nadu SSLC 10th Result 2023 Updates: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination (TNDGE) today released the result for the Secondary School leaving certificate examination (SSLC) or class 10 examination on May 19 at 10 am. The SSLC results and detailed scorecards are now available at the official websites — dge.tn.nic.in or tnresults.nic.in.
This year, the board has recorded an overall passing percentage of 91.39 per cent. A total of 9,14,320 students appeared in the exam of which 8,35,614 have passed the SSLC Exams. As many as 3718 schools recoded 100 per cent result.
The TN SSLC exams were conducted from April 6 to April 20 in over 3,986 examination centres across the state. The SSLC exams were held from 10:15 AM to 1:15 PM, and an additional 10 minutes were given for reading the question paper.
In 2022, the overall pass percentage in class 10 examinations was 90.07 per cent. Around 9 lakh students appeared for the class 10 examinations. The girls had outshone the boys with a pass percentage of 94.4 per cent.

A total of 89 students in English, 320 students from Social Studies, 3584 students from Science and 3649 students from Mathematics secured 100 per cent marks. No student scored 100 out of 100 in Tamil language
"It is heartening that the pass percentage of government schools is increasing. We will make special arrangements for students who do not write well. Parents should not pressurise the students. Continuous steps will be taken to improve the quality of education," said the minister of education.

Girls have performed better in Tamil Nadu SSLC Results by securing a pass percentage of 94.66 per cent meanwhile 88.16 per cent boys have passed the SSLC exams
A total of 3,718 schools have recorded 100 per cent result this year of which, 1,026 are government schools. This means no student from these schools has failed the SSLC exam.

Since 2018, the Tamil Nadu board has stopped declaring the names of the top ranking students. Instead, it announced the city or district which registers the highest pass percentage. According to the DGE, the move is aimed to reduce the unhealthy competition.
Last year, Kanyakumari district topped the TN class 10th examination with 97.22 per cent pass percentage.

For a student to pass Tamil Nadu SSLC board exams 2023, a candidate must score atleast 35 marks in each subject. Those who fail to score the minimum qualifying marks will be declared fail by the board. Such students will have to appear in the supplementary exams date of which will be announced in due course of time.
The students who appeared in the board exams can check their result at the official website but sometimes due to heavy traffic the pages starts crashing then students will have an option to check their scores via SMS. TNDGE recently declared the Class 12 or HSE+2 results. A total of 7,55,451 students passed the exam, the overall pass percentage was 94.03 per cent. Boys secured 91.45 per cent while girls secured 96.38 per cent. S Nandhini secured 600 out of 600 marks.
