SSC MTS 2024 vacancies increased; application closes on August 3

Earlier, the number of vacancies in MTS was 4,887. Now, the Commission has increased it to 6,144. The number of vacancies in Havaldar in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, remains the same – 3,439.
In a notice, SSC said that the other terms and conditions of the SSC notice issued on June 27 will remain unchanged: “The tentative vacancies of MTS mentioned in para 2.1 of the Notice of Examination may be read as 6144 instead of 4887.”
Also, SSC has extended the closing date and time for receipt of online applications for the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) Examination, 2024. Now, candidates will have time till August 3 (11 pm) to fill the application and pay the fee. The last date and time for making online fee payment is now August 4 (11 pm).
The Commission in the notice issued in this regard said: “The relevant parts in the Notice of Examination where the closing date was treated as a crucial date for ascertaining eligibility will now be as per the new closing date i.e 03.08.2024.”
Candidates will also have the option to edit and correct the application form between August 16 and August 17 (11 pm).
